Notices
When I started my personal website years ago, I never would have imagined needing a page like this. However, since then, many pages from my website have been modified slightly or copied in their entirety and published on other websites. I even found my entire "Search Tools" page offered as a service by an ISP in another country! (My name and logo were removed and the page was out of date.) Therefore, I have created this page of notices, although I wish it wasn't necessary to do so.

Copyright Notice

All content, source code and graphics on this website (tekmom.com) are protected by U.S. Copyright. All Rights Reserved. This Copyright includes, but is not limited to, the text, writing, graphics, HTML source code, page layout and design, scripting and photographs, which were created by and are owned by Anne Savage unless explicitly noted.

Re-use of any of tekmom.com's content either online, on a network, on CD-ROM, or in paper form for any purpose is prohibited, except for specific personal use which is described below.

Some of the graphic content not created by Anne Savage was purchased from other copyrighted sources and may not be copied and re-used.

Some Linking Is Prohibited

You may NOT link directly to any individual graphics, Hangman, or Smiley. Please link to one of the main pages listed at the bottom of this page.

Notes

Anne Savage creates and maintains these advertisement-free resources for the use and enjoyment of students and educators, free of charge. She has no affiliation and is not paid to maintain this website. Please respect these materials.

Web graphics, text and code are NOT "free to take." You may not take, copy, or link to any graphics, text or HTML code and use it on your website, network, or CD-ROM, or distribute it to others in paper form.

If you are creating a website, you must create or purchase your own graphics, text and code, unless you can find free/public domain materials. (But be careful - many of the "free" clip art sites contain pirated clip art.) Page layouts must be your own original creation. You may not use page layouts that look like TekMom's. If you are unsure about something you want to do, please write.

As every student should know, you may not revise TekMom's writing and use it as your own. This is not only a copyright violation but is called plagiarism.

Educators and students may follow the Copyright Fair Use guidelines to use small portions of information in their classrooms only, as long as they include a reference which cites the source. I hope students will enjoy using some of my "Technology Buzzwords" graphics in their school reports. Elementary school students may cite these graphics by simply pasting in the URL of the page where they found the graphic.

Some Permissions Are Granted

Anne Savage gives permission to teachers and students to print one copy of each of the Technology Buzzwords Puzzles, to be used by students in their classes. Teachers may xerox these puzzles to use with their own classes, but they may not distribute them to anyone else.

Anne Savage also gives permission to teachers to print one copy of each Buzzwords page or one copy of the Ten Commandments for Computer Ethics, for personal use in their own classroom, but they may not distribute printed copies to anyone else.

Anne Savage gives permission to create links to the following main pages without asking:
